What should a new client know about working with you?

Throughout our journey together, you'll find a safe haven where you can freely express and delve into your innermost self without fear of judgment. Together, we'll explore triggers and equip you with effective coping mechanisms to fortify your mental well-being and enrich your interpersonal connections. Additionally, we'll shine a light on the barriers that may be holding you back from progress. I deeply value your individuality and strive to tailor our approach to suit your specific needs and preferences. Meeting you exactly where you are in your unique path, I am committed to providing unwavering support as you embrace and embody your authentic self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the first session, I conduct an initial intake, which lasts about 60-75 minutes due to us exploring your presenting problems. Then sessions occur every week for 60 minutes except preteens and teens, which can last 30-60 minutes. After a few sessions, we will create a treatment plan, which is a blueprint of the goals we will be working towards that is tailored for you. One of the main goals I work on with teens and adults is learning the art of unmasking while being their authentic selves by learning concrete skills to utilize to cope as well as explore the root cause of current difficulties. While I'm trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, I enjoy utilizing an integrative approach when working with clients because there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health to help individuals better manage their mental health without sacrificing who they are.

If you're a New Jersey resident, I am an out-of-network provider; I do not accept insurance in NJ. Most insurance providers provide out-of-network benefits and you can be provided a superbill to seek reimbursement from your insurance. However, there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you for services. It is advisable to consult with your insurance handbook to determine your insurance benefits to see if you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. If you're a Florida resident, I accept private pay, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Oscar, Oxford, Optum EAP benefits (more information below), and Cigna. I do not accept Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in Florida; you may use out-of-network benefits. If you are using your EAP benefits (Optum Live & Work Well), you must provide your address, authorization number, and the number of sessions approved by your program once you book your appointment. Once you have completed the number of sessions, you have the option to use your insurance to continue paying for sessions or pay out-of-pocket. For NY, NJ, and FL: if you're paying out-of-pocket, you're more than welcome to use a superbill that is given to you to submit to your insurance for partial or full reimbursement. However, there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you for services. It is advisable to consult with your insurance handbook to determine your insurance benefits to see if you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
