Getting to know Angelica Dones

I am a Mental Health Counselor dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring life’s challenges. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and women’s wellness issues.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualized, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic techniques, mindfulness practices, and person-centered therapy to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University and have completed Gottman Level 2 training focused on couples and relationship work. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered while fostering a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity, empathy, and trust.
