NO SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS ACCEPTED. Empowering Your Journey to Healing: Telehealth Therapy Tailored to You! I believe in the power of collaboration. As your telehealth therapist, I see you, the client, as the expert on your own journey. I act as your trusted guide, utilizing various approaches like play therapy and trauma work, to meet you exactly where you are in your healing process. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support individuals and families at all stages: -- Children (from infancy) and their primary caregivers -- Expectant and postpartum parents -- Veterans As a veteran myself, I understand the unique challenges you face and the importance of finding a therapist who can truly relate. Here's what sets me apart: -- Client-Centered Therapy: I prioritize your goals and actively collaborate with you to achieve them. -- Telehealth Convenience: Access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space. -- Specialized Skills: I'm certified in Narrative Exposure Therapy and Infant Family Mental Health, and experienced in navigating custody disputes and creating child-focused timesharing plans. -- Veteran Support: I understand the complexities of military service and transition. VA Community Care referrals welcome! Parenting can be tough. You don't have to go through it alone. Let's work together to build a support system that fosters independence and well-being for you and your loved ones. NOTE: For trauma, you can expect to receive trauma therapy using NET therapy, which is a detailed modality of processing your trauma in a safe manner. For children and parenting issues, we will work as a collaborative team for the best outcome possible. Parents will be expected to be involved in the entire process of treatment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in creating a warm and collaborative space for therapy, but I also want you to feel comfortable with my approach. Here are a few things to know about working with me: A Safe Haven: Imagine our sessions as a warm and inviting refuge, free from judgment. Here, you can shed your armor and explore your vulnerabilities with confidence. My priority is creating a space where you feel comfortable and empowered to share your story. Finding Your Voice: My style leans towards a client-centered approach, meaning your voice and experiences are central to our work. I'll ask questions to guide our exploration, but ultimately, you'll be leading the way. Building on Strengths: While we'll explore challenges, I also focus on building on your existing strengths. You are resourceful and capable, and I want to help you tap into that inner power. Respecting Your Pace: Therapy can be a journey with ups and downs. There's no pressure to rush. We'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, revisiting topics or taking breaks as needed. A Culturally Sensitive Approach: I understand that everyone comes from a unique background, and I strive to create a space that is sensitive to your cultural identity and experiences. A Touch of Humor (Sometimes): Laughter can be a powerful tool for connection and coping. If it feels appropriate, I'm happy to use humor to lighten the mood and create a more comfortable environment. Beyond Talk Therapy (Optional): If you're interested, I can integrate mindfulness exercises, journaling prompts, or other techniques to support your progress outside of sessions. We can discuss these details further during our first session, but hopefully, this gives you a better sense of what to expect when we work together! Are you ready to embark on this exciting journey of self-discovery? Let's unveil your inner strength and create a future filled with resilience and well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Unleashing Your Awesomeness: A Peek into Our Therapy Sessions Picture this: therapy with me is less like a stuffy lecture and more like an exciting choose-your-own-adventure story, with you as the fearless hero on a quest for self-discovery! Each session is a unique chapter, but here's a sneak peek at the general plotline: Chapter 1: Setting Sail (The Check-In): We'll kick things off by catching up. What epic adventures (or maybe not-so-epic challenges) have you encountered since our last session? This is your chance to vent, share victories (big or small!), and set the course for our exploration. Chapter 2: Uncharted Territory (Deep Dives): Now, we'll delve deeper into your world. I'll guide you with questions that act like treasure maps, helping you unearth the roots of your challenges and uncover the hidden gems within. Chapter 3: Braving the Storm (Crafting Solutions): No hero tackles a quest alone! Together, we'll brainstorm solutions and coping mechanisms to navigate those stormy seas (stress, anxiety, etc.) you might encounter Think of it like building a mental toolbox filled with awesome tools to tackle anything life throws your way. Chapter 4: Planting Seeds of Change (Action Time!): The goal is to equip you with superpowers (healthy habits, coping skills) that you can use outside of our sessions. We might discuss exercises or practices to integrate into your daily life, turning these newfound skills into permanent crew members on your self-discovery ship. Chapter 5: Celebrating Victories (High Fives!) Every hero deserves a victory dance! We'll celebrate your progress, no matter how big or small. Acknowledging your wins, big and small, fuels your motivation and keeps you sailing smoothly towards your goals. Remember: This is your adventure, and your voice is the captain at the helm. Feel free to ask questions, share anything that pops into your mind, and adjust the course as needed. Open communication is our life raft, ensuring we stay

My daughter has been receiving therapy for about 1 year with Angie. She is a different kid now. Angie was able to identify her needs and targeted areas where she was struggling at school, socially and personally. We are very grateful for all the work she has done with her.
Angie is a fantastic therapist! I've worked with a couple different therapists at this practice (due to scheduling) and I can't say enough about them! Angie has this amazing way of helping me figure out what I really need, even when I don't know myself. She's like a boundary whisperer – she gently nudges me towards recognizing and asserting my needs in a healthy way. Working with Angie feels like she's helping me unlock hidden corners of my brain. Suddenly, things that felt confusing or overwhelming start to make sense. I'm so grateful for her insights and support!
I was kinda nervous about therapy at first, but Angie is the best! She helped me realize I'm way stronger than I thought. Instead of just telling me what to do, she helped me figure out how to use my own skills to deal with stuff. Now I feel way more confident and ready for anything. Definitely worth giving it a try.
Wonderful clinician.
She is wonderful and very professional. She listens and don't judge, she is honest and tells you what you need to hear not want to hear and do it in a professional manner. She cares about all her patients and respects them.
Angie has single handedly provided me with tools and structure that I need to succeed, both mentally, and with my life and career. She has changed my life for the better and continues to do so!
She has been excellent with my son. She has been very helpful providing different activities for him and it has been helping.
Angie is an amazing LMHC who is caring, unbiased, respectful, knowledgeable, and full of integrity. My family will always highly recommend her.
Angie offers a safe space for her clients to grow and thrive and to be their best self. She is experienced and extremely knowledgable. She is a joy to work with and is always supportive, encouraging, and geniune.
Angie has been very helpful and a great listener to our issues. She provides fun things to do outside of 1on1 therapy that helps self development and she provides two sides to every issue.
I've worked with a couple of therapists at SolRiver. A couple years ago, therapy with Angie was amazing. Her warmth and approachability created a safe space to open up, while her directness helped me confront my anxieties. Highly recommend!
As the owner of this practice, I can confidently say that Angie is an invaluable asset to our team. Her dedication to her clients is truly inspiring. They consistently leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and empowered. Beyond her clinical expertise, Angie's genuine openness and passion for helping others shine through in every interaction. It's clear she loves her work, and that passion translates into exceptional care for our clients. I'm incredibly grateful to have Angie on board!
I started meeting with Angie back in October 2023. It was my first time going back to therapy in about a year. I was super nervous, but her kindness and down-to-earth approach helped alleviate my fears. The role-playing tools for approaching difficult conversations was extremely helpful, as I am quite the people-pleaser. The role-playing has helped me with communication at my workplace. Additionally, our sessions have helped me see how and where to set boundaries in my personal and professional relationships.
