Getting to know Angelina Power

My name is Angelina Power. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with six years of experience working with people from various backgrounds and life circumstances. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I specialize in working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, chemical dependencies, grief, motivation, and self-esteem challenges. Additionally, my practice supports professionals dealing with compassion fatigue, burnout mitigation and recovery, and managing stress related to work and professional development. As a bi-racial woman who grew up as a military brat, I have lived in small communities on the Navajo Nation and in rural Alaska. Cultural sensitivity is something I hold in high regard. It is important in my practice to value and acknowledge the unique experiences of those I work with. ***Please note that all appointments must be canceled with a minimum of 24 hours' notice to avoid a no-show fee.***

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is viewed as a collaborative process in my approach. I embrace where you while we focus on building self-awareness and practicing self-compassion to help you make transformational changes in your life. My goal is to create an inclusive and safe counseling space that will help you enrich your life and maximize your ability to thrive.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
