Thank you for your willingness to show up for yourself by reaching out for help. This part of your journey may be a bit uneasy, but you are already on your way to better. I am looking forward to meeting with you so we can discuss things further. I attended Howard University, where I obtained my master's degree in social work. I have been in this field for more than thirteen years. I have worked with men, women, children, and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses and psychiatric backgrounds.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am eclectic with my approach; however, I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy. There are many other tools I use as well, such as the strengths perspective, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, and more. It is also very important to me that I am ever learning by participating in ongoing trainings.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
It is so important to know that you desperately need yourself in order for your goals to be met. I like my clients to feel empowered and encouraged, knowing that things can get better.
