Getting to know Angelyce Serrano

At Living in Love Psychotherapy, I offer something different: a space where your full self is not just tolerated, but honored. I specialize in supporting folx through LGBTQIA+ experiences, religious trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and life’s most tender transitions using an approach that is affirming, somatic, and rooted in wholeness. The hard moments, the breakthroughs, the slow and sacred work of learning to love yourself. Let’s walk this path together and help your love grow.

What should a new client know about working with you?

First things first: you don't have to have it all figured out to show up. Whether you're coming in with a clear goal or just a feeling that something needs to shift, that's enough. My approach is relational, meaning the relationship we build together is actually part of the healing. I draw from somatic therapy, psychodynamic theory, and trauma-informed care, so sessions aren't just about talking through what's happening but also tuning into how your body and past experiences show up in your present life. We move at your pace, and I follow your lead. I work with adults navigating trauma, life transitions, identity, and the weight of living in a world that wasn't always built with you in mind. My practice is affirming for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other folx from marginalized communities, and cultural humility isn't just something I say. It's something I actively practice. Sessions are fully virtual. All you need is a private space and a willingness to be honest. I'll bring the rest. If you've ever felt like therapy "wasn't for people like you," I'd love the chance to change that.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a consultation call so you can get a feel for me and I can learn a little about what's bringing you in. From there, our first few sessions are really about building the foundation: getting to know your story, understanding what you're carrying, and figuring out together what you actually want from this work. Once we have that foundation, sessions become more exploratory. Some days we'll go deep into something that's been sitting heavy. Other days we'll work on practical tools you can use outside of our time together. I weave in somatic practices, which means we pay attention to what's happening in your body, not just your thoughts, because healing lives there too.

In-network insurances

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $250 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $200 for 53 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay

More information on payments and coverage

I offer a transparent sliding scale with four tiers: $60, $80, $100, and $120 per session. You choose the tier that honestly reflects what you can give right now, no proof or explanation needed. Each tier has limited spots, and here's why that matters: when someone is able to contribute at a higher tier, it directly opens the door for someone else to access care at a lower one. It's community care in practice. If you're not sure where you land, we can talk through it together.
