Angie Alexander, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hello! I'm Angie, and since 2005, I've been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others by improving self-confidence and assisting them through their life challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in helping clients experiencing stress and building on their strengths and resilience. My journey into this field was inspired by witnessing the lack of mental health options, which fueled my passion for ensuring easier access to counseling and mental health services. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, in 2005 with a degree in Counseling and Guidance. After graduation, I worked with low-income individuals with Medicare and Medicaid, focusing on grief, loss, and life transitions. After 15 years with that company, I decided to start my own practice, driven by the desire to provide more personalized care. Over the past fifteen years, I've had the privilege of working with hundreds of patients, helping them navigate a variety of situations, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, ADHD, and other mental health challenges. I offer compassionate counseling with a focus on the individual client, recognizing that there is no single approach for everyone. Therefore, I utilize a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
