Getting to know Angie Curtis

Hello, my name is Angie Curtis. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona with a Master's in Counseling from the University of Phoenix. I have been providing counseling services for over 10 years, specializing in working with children and families affected by trauma. My approach is strength-based and person-centered. I am currently training in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) to enhance my skills further. Most of my experience involves supporting children and families dealing with trauma. I also work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and various life stressors. My goal is to create a safe environment where all clients feel heard and are treated with unconditional positive regard. It is important to me that the individuals and families I work with receive the best possible care tailored to their needs. I have always been drawn to helping individuals in pain and am motivated to assist them. My primary focus on working with children stems from a desire to prevent more severe problems as they grow, believing early intervention is key whenever possible. Together, we will set goals based on what you want to accomplish and address the main concerns that brought you or your family to seek assistance. During our first session, we will review consent paperwork, discuss limits of confidentiality, and gather information to better understand your needs and goals for services.
