I believe you are the main player in your life. Sometimes it may not feel this way, whether it is past experiences, unhelpful habits, or challenges arising in your relationships that seem to be taking the lead. My approach builds on established skills to develop the necessary tools to help you feel in control again. This process can take time but will help you live the life that you want. Together, we can take time to explore your goals and obstacles while also getting to know you as a person. You are the expert on your life, so I view therapy as a collaborative team approach that allows me to serve as a supportive guide. I help people with a variety of issues including healing from trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, school and behavior challenges, and developmental disorders. I utilize CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS), along with aspects of mindfulness and meditation. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Adelphi University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support clients effectively. If you have questions about whether this would be a good fit or what our work together might look like, please know that you are welcome to schedule a brief phone consultation so we can discuss treatment options. I wish you well and look forward to speaking with you!
