UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I typically serve individuals and communities more impacted by social oppression and exclusion, which limits their access to effective mental health care. This includes, but is not limited to, preteens and adolescents, emerging adults, elderly adults, Black and Brown/BIPOC individuals, immigrants, Caribbean and Latinx communities, LGBTQAI2S+ individuals, and people who are neurodiverse or atypical (ADHD, gifted, autism). I often use creative interventions in my sessions to encourage emotional processing and focus on developing skills to restore and maintain mental wellness. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client's unique needs. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Florida International University and a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University.
