Ann Bastille, MA

Psychotherapist
NH
Hi there, I'm Ann! Welcome to my virtual practice! I’m Ann Bastille, a licensed clinical mental health counselor serving clients in the beautiful state of New Hampshire. I offer in-person sessions in Campton NH by appointment only as well as securely online. My specialty is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy with adults for a variety of concerns. I have found EMDR works just as well via tele-health, so don’t hesitate to contact me to get the support you need. My approach With compassion, respect for you as an individual, and the wisdom of 30 years in practice, we first come to understand what may be creating difficulties in the present. EMDR then helps us target the blocks in your nervous system from traumas or distressing experiences that cause habitual negative reactions. Clearing these blocks often leads to peak performance and freedom from the anxiety, grief and frustration that haunt you now. With work, you can become lighter and able to free blocks to peak performance. My focus PTSD often presents as panic, generalized anxiety, depression or anger issues. It affects sleep, eating patterns, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem and often creates self-defeating thoughts and behavior. Please don’t hesitate to ask for an evaluation that will determine if any of these issues may be related to past disturbing events or conditions that can be treated effectively with EMDR. If you are an employee, athlete or other individual concerned you are being held back from peak performance, EMDR has protocols to reduce self-limiting thought and behaviors. My communication style My clients often refer their friends and acquaintances, telling them that I offer a calm and nurturing environment for clients to heal and grow. I am nonjudgemental, empathic, and confident that your brave, sometimes uncomfortable work in therapy will bring you peace where there was pain. My clients are my heroes and I am your enthusiastic supporter.
