Psychotherapist

Anxiety about the future or even just getting through today can feel overwhelming, whether the worries are big or small. Depression can pull you inward, leaving you feeling isolated and disconnected. Even simple questions like “are you okay?” can feel too heavy to answer, while your thoughts may cycle endlessly without relief. These experiences are real, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. While starting therapy can feel difficult, it can also be the first step toward meaningful, lasting change. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University and am also a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. My approach is integrative and trauma-focused, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for growth and healing. I work collaboratively with clients, helping you become the hero in your own life by building insight and practical tools for lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as DBT, ACT, MBCT, and trauma-informed care. I work with clients across the lifespan and have a special passion for helping parents develop practical, effective skills to support children with behavioral or emotional challenges. In addition to emotional support, I also help clients build sustainable habits that improve overall well-being. My goal is to empower you with both insight and actionable strategies you can use in your daily life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is an opportunity for you to share your story, your experiences, challenges, and goals, in a safe and supportive space. There is no pressure, just a chance for us to get to know each other and determine if it feels like a good fit. From there, we work together to create a personalized plan that aligns with your goals. Therapy is an ongoing, collaborative process where we build skills, explore patterns, and develop practical tools to support meaningful change. I integrate trauma-informed techniques and evidence-based strategies throughout our work, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
