Getting to know Ann Williams

I am dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based care, utilizing several skills (EMDR, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy and others, with a person-centered approach, and I have a passion for promoting mental well-being across diverse populations, while having the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and advocate for your needs. I am a strong believe in science and approach therapy with an eye on the science and how it can inform the care I provide. I am also a strong believer in diversity, equity and inclusion for all people and am a strong ally in the LGBTQIA+ community.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As I stated, I am a person-centered provider, I meet you where you are and help you decide what changes you wish to make and what areas of your life you would like to improve. I do not do therapy TO you, I do it WITH you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin by building rapport with a client, conducting an initial assessment to understand their presenting issues, collaboratively setting treatment goals, implementing appropriate interventions based on the client's needs, regularly monitoring progress, and finally, planning for termination and follow-up care, all while maintaining a supportive and non-judgmental environment throughout the process. At any step of the process, it is your responsibility and right to revisit any aspect of our work together.
