Anna Fleet, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi! My name is Anna, and I hope to provide a safe place for you to explore past, present, and future issues. Mental health is something that we all deal with to some degree or another, and you have the capacity for healing inside of you. Sometimes we need some extra support, guidance, and skills to assist, and that is where I hope to provide what is needed for your journey of healing. Sometimes that can simply mean some validation and support, and sometimes that means learning new skills. Other times, it means processing trauma and working through painful emotions. We can do each of those together. I obtained a BA in psychology from Baylor University and an MA in mental health counseling from Asbury Seminary. I became fully licensed in 2016, and while obtaining my license I worked in community mental health. I have since enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and working via teletherapy which allows me to serve people from a variety of walks of life. I hope that it can help you to meet from a convenient location within your schedule. When I am not working, I am chasing kids, reading, hiking, crocheting, and playing piano. I occasionally volunteer at my church through worship leading, serve on the board for the local Alcohol Recovery Council, and participate in my son's cub scout activities. I use a combination of approaches. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides tools to understand how one's thinking can lead to destructive or productive emotions and behavior. Internal Family Systems helps us to understand how parts serve to protect us but also hinder growth. Person centered therapy creates space for you to be uniquely you. I am also certified in EMDR and can help one to process through traumatic experiences.
