I’m a professional counselor passionate about helping people feel more connected, genuinely themselves, and empowered to make important change happen. I strive to create a space where you can feel completely safe and begin to make sense of what's been getting in the way of feeling peace and fulfillment in your life. My approach I believe every person has a deep, core self that’s capable of healing; it just gets clouded by stress, trauma, and the roles we’ve had to play to get through life. I focus on helping clients reconnect with themselves, understand their own patterns with compassion, and build the confidence to live more authentically and powerfully. My focus I work with young adults, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients describe feeling “stuck,” unsure of who they are outside of their stressors or responsibilities, or unable to get what they want from life and relationships. My communication style I utilize a person-centered and psychodynamic approach in sessions, using both DBT and IFS techniques. If these words mean nothing to you, know that I will work to make this space safe through warm and open communication. I will encourage and challenge you to look honestly at yourself and your past with compassion for the purpose of meaningful change. My goals for you Together, we identify what matters most to you and collaborate to build meaningful goals. We first focus on building compassion toward yourself, because self-compassion is a necessary step in making meaningful change. My first session with you We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and what’s been hard lately. You can expect a calm, nonjudgmental space. By the end of our first meeting, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and already a bit lighter because you’ve taken the first and most important step towards change.
