Psychotherapist
TX
Welcome to counseling. With me, you will experience a safe and judgment-free space to learn how to manage life, no matter your experiences. I believe that once you accept that you are the only person who has walked in your shoes, you will begin to become more accepting of who you are. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Texas Tech University. I have experience in several fields, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, marriage and family therapy, and autism spectrum disorders. Many professionals regularly recommend me for grief therapy and issues related to chronic illness. Additionally, working with individuals facing alcohol and substance abuse challenges is a specialty of mine. I have learned that communication is often at the root of many problems. I teach and model communication techniques that help you feel more empowered and heard. This includes active listening strategies, which most clients find very helpful.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, I hope that you will feel heard and accepted unconditionally. I will share tools with you to help you feel more empowered and more comfortable in your activities of daily living. I will help you understand the importance of good communication skills including active listening. I am understanding, yet straightforward. I strongly believe that the counseling session is a two-way commitment where we both need to be active participants.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
