Getting to know Anne (Anni) Frick

Accepting new clients! I believe that therapy is a way to explore and practice new ways of interacting meaningfully with ourselves and others. If you’re looking for someone to help with relationship concerns, identity exploration, gender confirming surgery letters, depression, anxiety, or navigating the stresses of simply being a human in these times, I may be a good fit for you! I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. I use she/they pronouns and look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

In addition to individual therapy, I also work with couples in relationship therapy. I provide a space that is non-judgmental, kind, and honest so you can work toward expressing and embracing your authentic self as well as connecting more meaningfully with your partner(s). I work with members of all communities and I also specialize in working with folks in the LGBTQ+, CNM, HIV+, and kink communities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

To begin our work together, let's have a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we're a good fit! Next, I'll ask you to complete intake paperwork and then we'll schedule sessions at a time that works for both of us. The individual and couples work that I do is collaborative and person-centered. I pull from several modalities, including existential and Gestalt, for individuals. For couples, I use Imago Relationship Therapy and Gottman Method.
