Getting to know Anne Carlson

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing secure telehealth therapy in both English and Spanish to clients residing in Texas and Colorado. I have many years of experience supporting individuals and families through challenging seasons of life, helping clients discover solutions both within themselves and in their everyday lives. My approach is warm, welcoming, and focused on practical, evidence-based strategies. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, develop healthy regulation and coping skills, and identify meaningful steps toward your personal goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have specialized training in pregnancy and postpartum mental health and especially enjoy supporting new and expecting parents as they navigate the exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—transition into parenthood. I also have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, and I welcome clients who are coping with the effects of traumatic experiences. Grief and anxiety are also areas of specialized knowledge and training. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, processing a difficult experience, managing anxiety, working through grief, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to provide a supportive and judgment-free space where you can feel heard and understood.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My professional background includes working in schools, hospitals, immigration agencies, and community-based programs. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances, and they have strengthened my belief that therapy should be individualized to meet each client where they are. My goal is to walk alongside you, help you recognize your strengths, and provide practical tools that can support lasting growth and meaningful change.
