Getting to know Anne Ottenweller

My therapy style is warm and engaged. I strive to build a relationship where you feel that you can share without judgment. We will explore together what you want and need and consider different possibilities to get there. We will also explore how past experiences are shaping your present. A strong relationship creates the conditions for lasting change that aligns with your values. I work by leveraging my clients' strengths and helping them navigate around the obstacles in their lives. I work from an attachment lens. Some of the other tools that I use include motivational interviewing, emotion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, humanistic therapy, and DBT and trauma-based techniques. I also use my experience as a parent to support parents and caregivers with the challenges that inevitably arise.
