Psychotherapist
MO
Hello! I'm Anne, and I'm primarily an EMDR therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based treatment for symptoms of trauma, anxiety, phobia, and other impacts of negative beliefs about ourselves and our place in the world. I have experience working with children, adults, and adolescent clients, and I am currently seeing adults and teens in online individual sessions. I really enjoy EMDR and how it helps clients find new ways of thinking about past experiences. While EMDR is my primary modality, it pairs well with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness. Both CBT and Mindfulness are effective in treating symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. By combining these approaches, I aim to provide a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan that meets each client's unique needs. I feel the most joy when I am walking my dog Darby, traveling to new places, sewing, cooking, and hanging out with friends. My favorite thing about being a therapist is making strong connections, which provide a foundation for growth. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is key to helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve their goals. If you're looking for a supportive and empathetic therapist to help you on your journey, I would be honored to work with you. Let's take the first step together.
