Psychotherapist

I believe every person has a story worth understanding, honoring, and rewriting when old patterns no longer serve them. My role is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences without judgment, develop practical tools for change, and reconnect with the strengths that have always been within you. I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, identity development, life transitions, relationship challenges, and personality-related concerns. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), expressive arts, mindfulness tools, and narrative therapy to create a treatment experience that is personalized to your unique needs, goals, and pace. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or searching for a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can become a place where healing and growth happen together. My goal is to work myself out of a job, in helping you build insight, strengthen your resilience, and feel empowered to author the next chapter of your life with greater confidence and self-compassion.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you begin therapy with me, you don't need to have everything figured out. Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of where to start: and that's completely okay. Our first priority is creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. My style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I balance compassionate listening with thoughtful questions, practical strategies, and gentle challenges that encourage growth. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each individual by drawing from evidence-based approaches such as CBT while incorporating expressive arts, and parts work through IFS when appropriate. I believe lasting change happens when we address both current symptoms and the deeper experiences that shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond to life's challenges. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels manageable while celebrating progress along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions are focused on getting to know you, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy, but also your strengths, values, relationships, and goals. Together, we'll identify what you hope to gain from therapy and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. As therapy progresses, we'll explore the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical skills to manage anxiety, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and increase self-understanding. Depending on your needs, sessions may include cognitive-behavioral strategies, expressive activities, parts work, or deeper exploration of attachment patterns and life experiences. Therapy is an active, collaborative process. Some sessions may focus on learning new coping skills for immediate concerns, while others may explore the underlying experiences that contribute to recurring patterns. Throughout the process, we'll regularly check in on your progress, adjust our approach as your needs evolve, and work toward helping you feel more confident, connected, and equipped to navigate life's challenges long after therapy ends.
