Having faced obstacles in my own life, I have gained insight, understanding, compassion, and empathy for others. These qualities, along with my schooling, have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to make a holistic impact on those seeking counseling. I am dedicated to giving my all to help individuals understand and manage what is standing in their way of becoming their authentic, best self. I am committed to creating a safe and honest therapeutic relationship with all those I counsel. I graduated with a Master's in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri. I have worked primarily with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and grief-and-loss. I have also worked with individuals experiencing chronic medical issues. I have worked with both men and women ages 18 and older. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches to treat the individual and work to discover what approach will best suit you in your current situation as well as give techniques that you can carry forward to empower you once therapy stops. I rely greatly on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I feel that once we can properly understand and manage our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we feel liberated to confidently move forward with a better understanding of ourselves and how to successfully navigate different life situations.
