Getting to know Anntana Brown

“You can’t change what’s going on around you until you start changing what’s going on inside you” -Inky Johnson. After serving in The United States Army, I earned a master’s degree in Psychology with a track in Addiction from Purdue University Global in 2018. I completed additional course work at Capella University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with adults and teens in an inpatient and outpatient setting with dual diagnosis including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Mood Disorders, substance abuse and family/relationship issues. I love working with those who identify in the LGBTQAI+ community, veterans, teens, those who struggle with substance use, and BIPOC.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session you can expect to talk about what's on your mind, what's been going on in your world, and what you would like to focus on. You might feel some anxiety at first due to the anticipation of engaging in therapy, but then relief when you begin to fully engage. I hope that clients can take away stronger communication skills, more self-awareness, valuable coping mechanisms and treating symptoms that are impacting your quality of life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I have never felt so heard or seen by a provider before. We are just starting our sessions but they have provided such meaningful insights already. Very happy with my choice and looking forward to more growth.

Anntana has challenged me to truly embrace my feelings and emotions and find ways to articulate those to her, my partner, and others in my life. We are talking about and discussing things that I didn't realize were troubling me, and processing those emotions together.
From the start I felt comfortable opening up to her. She has welcoming energy and such a kind soul. I always feel heard. I will go to her for as long as I can. Best therapist ever.
Anntana is down to earth and very personable. She is easy to talk to and makes me fell comfortable in session. I am finally able to deal with things I have carried around forever thanks to her helping me navigate through them.
Anntana is the best! She is open-minded, encouraging, and very helpful. I like that she is able to gently push back or question my line of thinking in a very effective way that is still inviting and accepting.
