What should a new client know about working with you?
Before becoming a licensed professional counselor, I spent over 20 years in public education, serving in multiple roles that have deeply shaped the way I support my clients today. I worked as a classroom teacher, band director, and school counselor—each role giving me a unique perspective on the emotional and mental health needs of students, educators, and families.
As a trained classical musician and composer, I understand the importance of creative expression and how powerful it can be in the healing process. Music has always been a part of how I connect with others and process life’s experiences, and that creative sensitivity often informs my approach in therapy—especially when helping clients explore their own unique stories and strengths.
Throughout my career, I’ve mentored new teachers navigating the challenges of stepping into the classroom for the first time. I’ve also worked closely with students, helping them build confidence and resilience, and even taught them how to become mentors to their peers. These experiences showed me the importance of human connection, shared growth, and the power of being truly seen and supported—values that are central to the way I now work with therapy clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
I use a blend of Narrative Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-informed techniques to meet you where you are. Together, we'll explore your story, uncover hidden strengths, and create practical tools to help you overcome challenges and move forward with confidence and resilience.
