Hi there, I'm Anthony! I am a Dual-Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I completed my master's degree in social work at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. I have served adults, adolescents, and families who suffer from a variety of mental health illnesses and individuals with substance abuse. My approach I use various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My focus I have had the privilege of working with clients who have had various problems, concerns, and needs. Generally speaking, I see clients who have faced challenges with communication, depression, anxiety, grief, identity issues, relationship problems, self-esteem, finances, stress, and male issues. My communication style I am patient, understanding, nonjudgmental, empathic, and a good listener. I believe that everyone has a story and unique experiences that have brought them to therapy. I am supportive and work to instill hope from a solution-focused perspective. I focus on improving and enhancing the emotional stability, social well-being, spiritual fitness, and physical health of individuals and families. Working with me is like having a conversation with someone you can trust to be open and honest to guide you to your desired goals. My journey to mental healthcare I have a strong desire to help others who have struggled with mental health issues and to make a positive impact on people's lives and well-being. Like many others, I have experienced and witnessed distressing events that have helped shape me into the person I am today. I have experienced anxiety and depression and have overcome some devastating challenges in my journey to becoming a therapist.
