Getting to know Antonette Benford-Rhodes

Hello! I’m Antonette, but please call me Toni. I have been helping clients of all populations for 15 years, assisting them in learning and implementing positive strategies that may improve the quality of their lives, relationships, and work-life balance. I am a veteran, and I am here to help veterans and their families with life issues. I’m a trauma-informed therapist who can assist clients in processing and integrating trauma issues. I enjoy mixing therapy with music, poetry, and conversation to identify patterns of stress. Therapy can be an overwhelming experience, but together we can create a safe space to start your journey of healing. I hold an MEd in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect to an empathetic and supportive Advocate. In each session we will explore how to deal effectively with life’s challenges, depression, trauma, and existential issues. Hopefully you leave each session feeling more energized and motivated to continue your journey of healing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
