I’m Antony Montero, MHC-LP, a bilingual English/Spanish mental health counselor serving clients throughout New York State. I have a background in school counseling and graduate training in Mental Health Counseling from NYU and School Counseling from NYIT. I work with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma-related stress, relationship and family concerns, academic and career stress, and life transitions. My approach is integrative, relational, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered. I draw from CBT, psychodynamic and attachment-informed approaches, mindfulness, and strengths-based counseling. I provide a warm, respectful space where we can build coping skills, strengthen emotional well-being, and work toward meaningful change. Counseling is available in English and Spanish.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As an MHC-LP, I provide mental health counseling to clients throughout New York State through convenient telehealth. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be heard, respected, and understood without judgment. I take a collaborative, client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, identify your goals, and develop practical strategies that fit your needs. As a bilingual English/Spanish therapist, I provide counseling in both languages and recognize how culture, family, relationships, and life experiences can shape your well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating—and that’s completely okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. I offer a warm, relaxed space where you can talk things through, be yourself, and feel genuinely heard. Whether life feels overwhelming or you’re ready for something new, we can take it one step at a time.
