Psychotherapist

Hiya! I’m Aoife and I bring a blend of humor, curiosity, depth, and grounded presence to my work. With a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Hartford and early career roots in psychological research, ethics, and program coordination at Harvard Medical School, I’ve spent years immersed in understanding what makes us human - cognitively, emotionally, and existentially. After a short (but enlightening) detour into computer engineering - yes, I really did try to code my way through life - I returned to what has always pulled me in most: the complexity of the human psyche. I went on to earn my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Plymouth State University, and since 2018, I’ve worked with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, identity shifts, and meaning-making in both clinical and academic settings. In 2024, I expanded my scope by earning my Death Doula Certification from the University of Vermont, deepening my ability to support individuals and families through end-of-life transitions with clarity, compassion, and courage. Whether you’re reckoning with loss, navigating personal transformation, or seeking a more authentic path forward, my work is rooted in honoring your story without rushing your process. Outside of sessions, you’ll probably find me walking in the woods with my dogs, nurturing my ever-growing jungle of plants, or rearranging furniture in pursuit of better vibes and functionality. I believe humor, depth, and practicality can (and should) coexist - and that even the messiest moments can hold meaning.
