Dr. April Brown is a Certified Relationship and Sex Therapist, Board Certified TeleMental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Therapist, and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor. She is a Licensed Mental Health Christian Counselor in Florida, Wisconsin, New York, and New Jersey, and accepts clients from these states for virtual therapy. She has a thriving group practice called Cape Coral Therapists in Cape Coral, Florida, specializing in intimacy, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, emotional support animals, and virtual therapy. Dr. April holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Counseling from Florida State University, and an EdD in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.
Since 1997, Dr. April has worked in counseling with children, teens, adults, couples, and families from diverse cultures and backgrounds. She has counseled, taught, and facilitated groups, workshops, courses, and presentations. Dr. April has worked in community centers, public schools, universities, businesses, and private practice. She has also supervised many school and mental health counseling interns.
Dr. April believes intimately connecting with ourselves, others, and our Higher Power can eliminate conflicts, anxiety, and depression, empowering us to live purposeful lives. Over the past twenty years, she has empowered thousands of individuals, couples, and families to break down barriers causing fear to embrace true intimacy. Her mission is to increase intimacy for all. To support this, she began hosting a radio/TV show in February 2018 called �Bringing Intimacy Back,� where she and other intimacy experts provide resources and tips on increasing intimacy in all relationships.
In 2020, Dr. April Brown began offering intimacy retreats for couples.
What should a new client know about working with you?
If our prices are high, please ask us about our low cost counseling services for individual and couples/family counseling. We offer as low as $45 for individual counseling and we can offer as low as $65 for couples/family counseling.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We are able to schedule you two days after calling our office. For Individual Sessions it is $200 and for Couples it is $300
