Therapy is a tool, a safe place, and a time to rediscover. Everyone has the tools to get through hard situations but oftentimes doesn’t realize these tools exist. I love to collaborate with my clients to help them discover their strengths and become better versions of themselves. Therapy is such a healing opportunity to find out the reason behind the struggle and change it for a better life. I believe strongly in research-based modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR. I have a wealth of experience working with couples who struggle with communication issues, infidelity, transitions, or simply trying to find that spark! I have also helped many women and men struggling with anxiety and depression. I have been successfully doing therapy for 4 years and continue to seek opportunities to gain more knowledge in order to better help my clients. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and hold a Bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University. I am currently a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. I have been married for almost 20 years. Together my husband and I have 3 beautiful daughters, ages 17, 13, and 7. When I’m not doing therapy, I love family time. We play games, watch movies, and participate in travel adventures whenever possible. Self-care is very important to me, so I spend time reading, walking, or simply taking a power nap. We are also in love with animals. Luckily, we are blessed to have land where we house our 6 dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats, and, of course, our 2 gerbils. It may seem like a lot, but as I always like to say, “We just have much love to give!”
