April is trained in treatment approaches that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Emotional Freedom Tapping, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and other therapeutic approaches to include use of an Integrative Approach that is tailored to each client's unique strengths and areas clients seek to address in a behavioral health therapeutic space. April engages in teaching the next generation of students and clinical social workers, and maintains an active research agenda that is connected to the clinical services that she provides to her clients. Her favorite hobbies are swimming and traveling as her most recent travel destinations include Fiji, New Zealand, Thailand, and Cambodia.
