Arham Nezami, LPC

Psychotherapist
2401 W Ohio St, Chicago, IL
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from Roosevelt University, a CACREP accredited, trauma-informed institution with a strong focus on social justice and community advocacy. My experience in substance abuse counseling and community mental health has shown me the importance of unconditional positive regard for clients’ well-being. It has helped me develop my approach of close listening and intentional questioning to promote self-reflection in clients and encourage their growth and increase self-acceptance. I have experience providing culturally responsive therapy to a diverse population ranging widely in age in both individual and group contexts. I would like to continue working specifically with adolescents and older adults around severe trauma, relationship concerns, addiction, and behavioral modification. Integrating practical and holistic treatment modalities such as meditation and guided exercise is something I have found very effective with my clients, and I am keen on connecting with new clients that are interested in that sort of treatment. Applying existential psychotherapy into my practice, I help individuals struggling with challenging life situations, acceptance, and self empowerment.
