Getting to know Ari Isaiah

The provider is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. As someone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the challenges of feeling misunderstood in clinical settings. My goal is to offer a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely cares and understands, not a cold or overly clinical experience. While I gently guide clients through meaningful and sometimes uncomfortable topics, I always move at your pace. You are in charge of your healing journey, and I will never push you beyond what feels right for you. For the past three years, I’ve worked in outpatient counseling services, supporting individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. I especially enjoy working with teenagers, adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals, helping them navigate life transitions, identity development, and emotional challenges. At the heart of my work is the belief that you are the expert of your own life. My role is to first understand your story and then support you in achieving your personal goals while fostering self-compassion, self-awareness, and growth. I also believe that feedback is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I regularly check in with my clients to ensure that therapy continues to feel helpful and aligned with their goals. My approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing from a variety of techniques to best meet each client’s unique needs. This includes Rogerian (person-centered), Gestalt, trauma-informed, radical acceptance, and IFS-informed practices. If you’re looking for a therapist who offers understanding, authenticity, and a space where you can feel seen and heard, I would be honored to work with you.
