Getting to know Ariana Galante

Being human is hard, and so is reaching out for help. Think of me as your not-so-typical therapist-I'm all about breaking down barriers and embracing what makes you, well, you! I'm here to help you navigate the ups, the downs, and everything in between. Whether we're diving deep into your past, tackling the “mental gymnastics” of your brain, meditating together, processing, gaining insight, or simply sharing some laughs along the way… therapy with me is all about making progress while feeling heard, seen, and validated as we simultaneously embrace our humanity.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In the realm of psychotherapy, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Rather, it is a collaborative endeavor—one that honors the uniqueness of each client's experiences and aspirations. If you are trying to cope with complex trauma, grief and loss, neurodiversity, boundary issues, self-acceptance, assertiveness, people-pleasing, stress...I am here for you. Together, we'll create a personalized roadmap to success that's as unique as you are. So, if you're ready to ditch society's stigma of therapy and mental health struggles...you know where to find me! We are all trying to figure out how to navigate life as a human. If you are interested in connecting, do not hesitate to reach out to see if we are a good fit!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My sessions with my clients are highly individualized and responsive to each client's unique needs, goals, and presenting concerns. I take an active, engaged role in the therapeutic process, ensuring sessions are both structured and flexible, depending on what best serves you! To help build more of an idea, I work collaboratively with my clients to identify core challenges and set clear, achievable goals for therapy. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs, and I integrate various therapeutic techniques to best support your growth. I provide a structured framework while allowing space for organic discussions. If appropriate, I may assign homework or exercises to help reinforce skills outside of sessions. We will revisit past topics and connect patterns from previous discussions to ensure progress is tracked and integrated effectively. I draw from various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, IFS, mindfulness-based techniques) to ensure a comprehensive and tailored experience. My goal is to help clients not only process emotions but also develop actionable strategies for long-term well-being. Progress is assessed regularly, and we will adjust approaches as needed to better align with your evolving needs. My clients may receive reflective exercises, coping strategies, or practical tasks to deepen their learning between sessions! I emphasize self-awareness, emotional regulation, and skill-building to foster long-term change beyond the therapy room. Overall, my approach is engaged, direct, and supportive. I help my clients navigate their challenges with structure, insight, and a focus on real-world application. Therapy is not just about talking—it’s about growth, change, and empowerment. :)

I've bee with Ari for nearly 5 years, and I really appreciate her knowledge and understanding of how the human mind works, and really attribute her holistic approach to healing to my growth. Not only is she extremely smart, but she's such a cool person, and I feel comfortable talking to her, she really creates a safe environment to express myself. I highly recommend her, she is definitely someone to have in your corner.
Ariana is truly down to earth, caring and super supportive. She validated my feelings and I really appreciated the support she gave because she made me feel seen and heard. I’ve always been hyper aware and hyper independent but it’s different to have someone understand and see you on your healing journey and be part of it. She’s professional but also friendly that you’ll get comfortable with her quickly. She has always tried to work alongside my schedule and I really appreciate the moments when I had something come up and she can reschedule me for an earlier time or if there’s an open slot she had. She’s great, I only have nice things to say about her.
I’ve been a patient of Ariana for a while now, and it has been a really helpful and positive experience. She listens carefully, makes me feel heard, and gives me tools to manage my thoughts and emotions. I feel comfortable opening up and have noticed real progress in how I handle stress and relationships. I would recommend her to anyone looking for support and personal growth.
Ariana created one of the safest, warmest and most genuine environments I have ever experienced with therapy. She is kind, compassionate, and is so warm and understanding. She goes out of her way to create a comfortable and judgement free zone for her clients, and offers various ideas on how to resolve anything you bring to her. She is open-minded, thoughtful, and was always willing to work with me in order to maximize my time with her. I will always credit her for helping me through some of the most difficult challenges I have faced in my life. She changed my relationship with therapy and truly helped me see things from a different perspective. I will always be appreciative for all she has done!
I have seen Ariana for about four years and saying that she has helped me through so much is an understatement. I am forever grateful for her! Ariana is respectful, empathetic, kind, encouraging, diplomatic, and so warm! She makes you feel comfortable and at ease during every session, allowing you to open up and maximize your time during meetings. When warranted, she also challenges you to be your best. I cannot recommend her enough!
