FL
I am a board-certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician). This certification highlights my specialized training and ensures that the skills you learn will equip you for the next steps in your life journey. DBT is an evidence-based treatment designed to help those struggling with emotion regulation, as seen in issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, borderline personality disorder, substance abuse, and similar challenges. It can serve as a primary treatment modality or complement your current therapy work. This approach is also highly effective for executives and individuals in high-stress positions, helping you maximize stress management and support your healthiest self for positive work outcomes. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical practice. In your search for a therapist, you've likely done considerable research and may have received recommendations to seek out a DBT therapist. This is for good reason-DBT is an evidence-based therapy that blends compassionate understanding with practical strategies, equipping you to navigate life's challenges more effectively. What truly distinguishes me from other therapists is my commitment to understanding you as a unique individual and working collaboratively to develop a personalized plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. Creating a validating and non-judgmental space is central to my approach. I prioritize providing an environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Your experiences, struggles, and aspirations matter deeply to me, and together, we will build a therapeutic partnership that fosters growth and empowers you to overcome obstacles.
