What should a new client know about working with you?

I work through a collaborative lens. Though I am an expert in therapy, I am not an expert on your life. My job is to work to gain an in-depth understanding of who you are, help to connect the dots between your experiences, the systems you interact with, and the source of your distress to help improve your day-to-day experiences.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe each session consists of four components: 1. Space for client to express distress or updates on current issues and concerns 2. Processing those experiences and past experiences to develop a deep understanding of patterns, relational components, systemic impacts, and influences. 3. Identify and develop coping or distress tolerance skills for patterns, roles, issues, and concerns that the clients have limited control over. 4. Develop problem-solving skills and plans for restructuring and shifting those components that the client can have control over.
