Getting to know Arlene Anjos
Therapy is not one size fits all and it is not a one person show. It is about collaborating with clients to identify and work towards their goals. I believe that overall wellness must include a focus on both mental and physical health as they are intertwined. Not only am I trained and experienced in psychotherapy but, in using behavioral health interventions to help with chronic health management as well. My sessions are compassionate and genuine. It is important to me that sessions are a place where clients can feel comfortable discussing even the most sensitive of topics in a judgment free space. The goal is to help clients revive and thrive!
Despite being a Columbia University graduate, the best education has been the 17+ years of experience working with clients and families. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I have worked with various populations addressing various concerns. The evidence-based interventions that I utilize depend on the needs and preferences of each client. In addition to working directly with clients, I am certified to provide clinical supervision to therapists who are not yet fully licensed as well as certified for Field Instruction for social work students.
Sessions can also be provided in Spanish and Portuguese.
