Getting to know Arrie Godwin

Hi, I'm Matt. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from The Seminary of the Southwest and am trained in EMDR. My journey in counseling has been deeply influenced by my experience working with families in hospice care, where I have supported people during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives. I've seen firsthand how unresolved and damaged relationships can cause immense pain, and one of the biggest regrets people have at the end of life is neglecting these important connections. This has fueled my passion for helping individuals and families address their hurts and impasses, working towards growth and connection. I believe that every client and family I meet is on a unique journey of discovery. I will meet you where you are, understanding that a lot goes into the decision to seek counseling. Relationships and life can often feel like an uphill battle, leading to frustration and a sense of being stuck. My goal is to help you navigate these challenges and guide you to a place where you can allow yourself to hope again. Therapy can be both one of the most difficult and rewarding things you do for yourself. The most rewarding aspect of my work is being both a witness and participant as individuals and families recreate a narrative that includes healing, openness, and new creativity in their relationships and life goals.
