Getting to know Arryonna Pinkney

I work with adults who have been carrying trauma, grief, anxiety, obsessive thoughts, attention difficulties, and complex relationship patterns, often for many years and often without adequate support. My approach to therapy is thoughtful, direct, and deeply supportive. I help clients explore and understand what may have been avoided or difficult to name, so they can begin to untangle longstanding patterns and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy can fundamentally shift how you relate to yourself and others. In our work together, I offer a grounded and focused presence, balancing compassion with gentle challenge. This creates a space where difficult experiences and truths can be explored with honesty and care, without minimizing their impact. Clients often appreciate my consistent, engaged approach and my ability to foster a strong therapeutic connection. I aim to create an environment that feels both steady and collaborative, where you can examine what’s holding you back and move toward greater clarity and alignment in your life. Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve been managing things on your own for a long time. If you’re sensing a need for change, even if you’re unsure where to start, I provide a space that supports meaningful progress beyond surface-level coping. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin; showing up is enough.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and relational challenges, with particular expertise in CPTSD, PTSD, and sexual trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and integrative. I am known for a direct and engaged style that can feel intense, but it is always intentional and rooted in helping you create lasting change. I bring clarity, depth, and honest reflection into the room, supporting you to move beyond insight alone and into meaningful, sustainable transformation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our work together, you can expect a space that is grounded, honest, and deeply attuned to you—where nothing about your experience is too much or needs to be minimized. I come to this work because I understand trauma, grief, and survival not only clinically, but personally. Healing happens when you feel both supported and gently challenged, and my hope is that our work helps you feel safer in your body, clearer in your relationships, and more connected to who you are becoming—not just coping, but truly living.
