I will assist you in changing how you feel about your relationships, your life circumstances, and yourself by discovering how to manage your thoughts more successfully. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor/Certified Addiction Specialist with over 20 years of experience practicing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in diverse settings across North America and Europe. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from California State University, Long Beach. My specialties include Couples Counseling, Anxiety, Depression, and Addictions. Additionally, I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals facing emotional or behavioral challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, military-related issues, and LGBT concerns. I maintain active licensure in California, Florida, Michigan, and Texas.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy tends to be time-limited, so we may decide to work together for a few months, and then plan to evaluate our progress. Treatment focuses on trying to resolve current problems. Your past is not ignored and early learning experiences are considered important in CBT; however, the main focus is on helping to reduce the distress and related symptoms that are impairing a person’s current functioning.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
