Aryeh Blum is a licensed psychotherapist who works with individuals and groups He began his career as a Rabbi, counseling individuals with various spiritual and religious concerns Aryeh then worked for the State of Texas, supporting families of children with severe and chronic medical conditions Upon returning to Florida, he began working with people suffering from substance abuse, alcoholism, and other addictions such as gambling, sex, and work Aryeh holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University He does not believe good therapy is “cookie cutter” or programmatic Instead, he works with clients in a highly individualized way, based on the empathic rapport and therapeutic alliance he builds with them Using various treatment modalities, his therapy has a client-centered, spiritual, humanistic, and reality-based approach Aryeh is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and uses EMDR when indicated He specializes in working with people suffering from trauma, addictions, chronic illness, existential crisis, and dual diagnosis Aryeh has extensive experience across inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care His background and life experiences bring a wealth of resources to connect with a wide range of clients and their struggles Who are my clients? My clients seek freedom from emotional and psychological pain and confusion They come to gain independence from trauma, chronic illness, addiction, and existential crisis They learn new ways of thinking about the world and their place in it, living as “a part of” rather than “apart from.” Their relationships improve, quality of life increases, and they begin to experience life more broadly and richly My ideal client desires change and is willing to work to achieve it Pain is a necessary part of life Suffering, however, is not If you are suffering, feel alone, or despair for a better quality of life, come see me.
