The human experience is raw, at times it can create cracks and holes that feel beyond repair, but much like the Japanese art form Kintsugi, I believe there is no such thing as being broken. With compassionate care any gaps can be filled with gold. My practice entails not only working with the mind but recognizing that true wellness lives in the intricacies of bringing the mind, body, and spirit into more aligned harmony. Upon completing my graduate degree in Clinical Social Work and Trauma-Informed Care at the University of Denver, I spent several years exploring my clinical style and utilizing interventions based in social science and eastern medicine. Modalities I practice are Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Critical Race Theory, Systems Theory, Feminist Theory, CBT, ACT, and different frameworks of spirituality. In addition I am a HAES (health at every size and eating disorder-informed) therapist. I specialize in working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, grief work (death and dying), eating disorders and BIPOC + LGBTQA communities. In addition, I work with couples that desire assistance with conflict resolution and sex and intimacy. Lastly, I am committed to frameworks of social justice and cultural competency. My practice is a space where any ethnicity, gender, class, or religion is safe to exist authentically and be met with quality care. Whether you have been on your healing journey for years or just beginning, I am grateful to have the opportunity to explore your inner landscapes with you in a container that prioritizes curiosity over judgment. “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self preservation” - Audrey Lorde

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is rooted in mindfulness, strength based frameworks, and curiosity. Each client I work with has a unique story to be witnessed, I hold that delicacy in the therapy room by meeting you with a mirror of where you are at and what the journey forward can entail. In addition, I acknowledge the power in standing beside my clients, not in front or behind. I believe from this space the therapist is a guide facilitating each client arriving at more helpful viewpoints and come to more holistic understandings of their stories. It is not my position to fix or force solutions, but to co-create healing experiences that provide meaningful and enriching change in my clients lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients can expect a free 15 minute consultation phone call, this is where we find out if we are a good fit! After this clients will engage in an onboarding process which is completed at the clients availability. During our first session we will complete an initial intake together, which lasts an hour. Then I utilize the bio-psycho-social-spiritual aspects of my client and why they came into treatment to provide clarity for diagnosing, diagnosis is always reviewed with clients. After this initial session we will begin psychotherapy. All sessions are done via zoom.
