What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t have to have it all figured out to start therapy. Clients often tell me they feel safe, seen, and understood in our work together. I show up as my full self...warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental and I invite you to do the same. My style is supportive yet direct when needed, and I tailor sessions to your unique needs, pace, and goals. I welcome all parts of you into the room and prioritize creating a space that’s affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in trust.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll begin with a clinical assessment to better understand your current challenges, history, and goals for therapy. We’ll also take time to get to know each other, go over my practice policies, and answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. My goal is to make sure you feel informed, supported, and comfortable moving forward. From there, sessions are tailored to your needs and may include reflection, skill-building, and exploring patterns in thoughts, emotions, or relationships. I often draw from CBT, mindfulness-based practices, and strengths-based approaches. Throughout our work together, we’ll revisit your goals, check in on your progress, and adjust our focus as needed to support your growth and well-being.
