Getting to know Ashley Dixon

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Pathways to Wellbeing, LLC, a telehealth practice dedicated to helping individuals find balance, confidence, and peace. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Widener University and have over five years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I support clients managing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. My goal is to help you build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a life that feels balanced, grounded, and authentically yours.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and collaborative environment where they are encouraged to move at their own pace. My approach is grounded in compassion and understanding, with a focus on helping you feel safe, supported, and heard from the very first session. Together, we’ll identify your goals, explore patterns that may be holding you back, and build practical tools to create meaningful change. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques, always tailoring sessions to your unique needs and experiences. I believe therapy should feel empowering — a space where you gain insight, develop resilience, and reconnect with your strengths. My goal is to help you leave each session feeling a little lighter, more confident, and more in control of your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, I like to begin with a light check-in — taking a few minutes to settle in, talk about how you have been since the last session, and identify what feels most important to focus on that day. From there, we gently move into the deeper work, exploring patterns, thoughts, or emotions that may be contributing to current challenges. I guide this process with compassion and curiosity, helping you uncover insights and develop healthier ways to cope and grow. Before closing, we take time to allow you to decompress and ground yourself, ensuring you leave the session feeling calm and centered. I often encourage clients to practice what we’ve discussed through simple, realistic strategies they can use between sessions. My goal is for each session to feel balanced — supportive, reflective, and empowering — so you can continue building confidence and emotional resilience both in and outside of therapy.
