Getting to know Ashley Harlan

Hello! My name is Ashley Harlan, and I am a licensed professional counselor and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor specializing in working with adolescents and young adults who have experienced trauma, substance use, life stressors and transitions, depression, and anxiety. I earned my Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in 2017.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use a person-centered approach in my practice, meaning I tailor my approach to each individual client's needs and goals. My aim is to create a safe and comfortable space for my clients to utilize in whichever way they wish. I love incorporating humor into the therapy space and pride myself as being non-judgmental and open-minded. I am also LGBTQIA+ affirmative. Lastly, I have a great love for cats, enjoy playing games of all sorts, engaging with different parts of pop culture, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
