Getting to know Ashley Hughes

Hello! My name is Ashley Hughes, M.Ed, CRC, LCPC, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the great states of Idaho and Montana. I graduated from the University of Idaho with my Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Human Service in 2016-Go Vandals! I aim to help my clients feel comfortable, safe, and empowered throughout our sessions, and I try to incorporate humor when applicable. My goal for every client I work with is to help them feel better prepared to manage the challenges and difficulties they face. My go-to style of therapy is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapies. I have a coach-based style and like to teach my clients tools and techniques to help them feel better equipped to take on their day and navigate their lives. I became a therapist because I genuinely want to help people feel their best. I want to help people feel strong, confident, resilient, and able to experience happiness and joy to the fullest of their abilities. I enjoy working with individuals and couples on relationship issues, stress/anxiety, depression, self-esteem, confidence building, life transitions, grief, trauma, career changes, emotional regulation, and thought/emotion management. I also really admire and appreciate working with outdoor professionals such as white water rafting, biking, hunting, and mountaineering guides. In my free time, I love white water rafting, hiking, skiing, BBQing/cooking with friends and family, and spending time with my husband and two rescue dogs. I look forward to connecting with you soon! *I also have more availability most M-F, 8:30 am?3:30 pm, than my calendar shows; please message if you have any questions.*
