Getting to know Ashley Kokoszka

We all want to feel heard and understood. With so many outside influences, it's easy to feel lost and unsure of our place and purpose. It can seem like you are alone and powerless in navigating daily life, causing distress and a disconnect between where you are and where you wish to be. My hope is to provide a space where you feel safe exploring your innermost parts and come to accept them rather than fight against them. When you develop a deep understanding of who you are, it creates a sense of inner stability that helps you feel grounded even in difficult times. By gaining awareness and insight, you can begin making choices that honor your authentic self and allow you to live the life you want. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. My clinical experience includes working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, identity, and challenging life transitions. My approach to therapy is eclectic, tailored to the unique needs and background of each person to determine the most effective strategies for growth. I deeply value human connection and strive to create an environment that is nurturing, empowering, and free of judgment.

Ashley is amazing. I have been her patient for over a year and she has helped me tremendously. Finding the right therapist can be very difficult but as a young women of color, Ashley has helped me navigate through so much in my life. I HIGHLY recommend Ashley to EVERYONE.
I've been working with Ashley for almost 2 years and she is amazing!!!! She really listens and helps you figure out what you need to do and your next step all on your own.
Ashley is an amazing therapist. She has helped me so much with my anxiety in the time I have seen her and I could not recommend her enough.
Dr. Kokoszka has worked with me for a little over a year now and I would highly recommend her. She is very kind, patient, perceptive, and provides so much clarity. It was easy to establish trust and connection in our first session. I’m later sessions, we moved into unpacking uncomfortable and unhealed wounds at my pace (which was my goal). She is ever present, attentive, and validating in our sessions. She reiterates what she heard and provides valuable insight and new tools/skills. Dr. Kokoszka models a calm and level of communication that I aspire to and being in her care has made a tremendous impact for me. My partner tells me every day that he sees the value and effectiveness of these therapy sessions. I am very grateful and plan to continue to be in her care.
Ashley is patient, thoughtful, and funny, and her guidance has been deeply appreciated. She is incredibly accommodating for scheduling an has a very kind demeanor. She listens very well and has helped me put words to feelings I have been unable to reconcile myself.
Ashley is always very prompt and professional and I enjoy our sessions immensely. She’s been a main source of support through some tough life events and situations - I find her insightful and so useful in helping to frame situations and contextualize.

I’ve been working with Ashley for over a year and I am constantly noticing big changes in the way I manage the way I speak, think, talk, and treat myself in stressful situations. I feel both challenged and extremely supported in every session and walk away with gratitude and an added layer of resolve. Ashley comes prepared to every session and is willing to let you set the pace. She makes it a point to highlight growth and even recalls SPECIFIC examples of where you were months ago and tying it to where you are now.
Ashley is an incredible therapist! I had never gone to therapy before and she made me feel comfortable and heard. I've now been seeing her for over a year and she is very thoughtful in her guidance and advice. She provides very tangible, applicable solutions to the issues I present to her, while also serving as a good listener and support system. I've been implementing the practices and solutions we discuss and have truly seen an improvement in my mental health and overall wellbeing. I cannot recommend Ashley enough!
Working with Ashley is an absolute delight! I've tried and broken up with many therapists over 3 years, and Ashley is the first person who made me feel comfortable enough to truly open up and be honest with my struggles. She listens thoroughly without judgment, and offers genuine feedback. Working with her has made me more confident and truly process my past trauma. I struggle with depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and the help Ashley has given me has bettered my quality of life to a point I really didn't think was possible. Talking with Ashley feels like talking to an unbiased friend - she is caring and wants the best for you, but will be honest about the things you can improve on. I cannot recommend Ashley enough, and will continue working with her for as long as I can!
Ashley was extremely helpful and very professional. She helped me understand the root of my issues and how to work through them.
I love my sessions and am always looking forward to them. She makes me feel so heard and validated. I feel comfortable talking to her about anything. Before I started therapy I was having daily panic attacks and in the 8 months I’ve been seeing Ashley, I have only had one or two very mild ones. My mental health and improved immensely. I highly recommend seeing Ashley if you are in the market for a therapist currently!
I have been seeing Ashley consistently for 1.5+ years; every session with her is incredibly insightful, enjoyable, and helpful. I have always felt comfortable sharing very personal details with Ashley - not only is she a great listener and very relatable, but she also does a wonderful job of peeling back the layers and exploring the 'why' I feel a certain way. She always has excellent suggestions to incorporate into my everyday life, and I think my mental health has benefited immensely since beginning therapy with her. Highly recommend!
Ashley is very easy going and a good listener. She is very flexible with her schedule and works well with insurance. As far as her professional services, Ashley does not come across as judgmental or dismissive as some counselors do. After a couple of sessions, sessions with her are like talking with a friend you've known for a long time.
I've had weekly sessions w Ashley for over a year now & cant say enough positive things about her. She's helped me with a lot & has done more for my mental health than she'll ever know. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist.
