What should a new client know about working with you?

Your treatment plan is customized to address the unique needs of you or your child. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies—to tackle challenges effectively. Together, we will build coping skills and practical solutions at a pace that feels right, supporting lasting and meaningful growth. The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start building a supportive, comfortable connection. We’ll discuss what brings you—or your child—to therapy, your current concerns, and your goals. I’ll ask about relevant history, relationships, strengths, and past counseling experiences to better understand your story and begin identifying actionable goals. All telehealth sessions are kept highly interactive using evidence-based strategies to maintain engagement, practice skills in real time, and strengthen our connection. For children and families, we may spend time together and separately, depending on age and comfort. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and explore what ongoing sessions might look like. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and clear on the next steps.
