Getting to know Ashley Mesey

Mental health is important, and it can be scary to reach out when you need support. Mental health comes in many forms: sadness, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, trauma. Any of those can become overwhelming. I offer a safe and confidential space to share your thoughts and emotions while we work together to navigate what life has thrown at you. My goal is to help you reach your goals and say, "I think I can take it from here." I know this is scary and uncomfortable. I truly do not take it lightly that you are reading profiles and considering seeing a therapist. What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer an eclectic approach, meaning I will tailor my approach based off your needs. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma-Informed, Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy approaches. I have specialties in dual existing mental health and substance use, trauma, all ranges of mental health conditions, and all age groups.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We'll meet to talk about what symptoms are most bothersome., then talk about what your goals are for treatment. Together, we'll come up with a plan to meet your goals, but ultimately you are the one that decides what we do.
