She's receptive and attentive to my struggles and needs, and helps push me to better myself in a gentle way that works for me. Her explanation and positive re-enforcement of therapeutic concepts and strategies have encouraged me to work harder at reframing my mind and perspective. The exercises and techniques that she suggests I practice on my own in daily life are practical and yet not overwhelming. Also, I like that Ashley takes notes of our discussions and remembers details of some of my stories, and refers back or follows up on them to see my progress. Sounds like what any professional should be doing, but I get the sense that Ashley truly cares, which you won’t find in every health or mental care worker but is oh so important in the field. Highly recommend. ”

Ashley Roark is a licensed mental health therapist and a National Certified Counselor with over nine years of experience working in the community in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings. Ashley has training in CPRT (Child-Parent Relationship Training Therapy) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has experience with Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, DBT and Play Therapy. Ashley has a dual Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked with families, couples, individuals, groups, adult populations of all ages, and children ages three and up.
